Love Loading (Part 2) – The Love That Corrects

Remember the blog I wrote way back in February called Love Loading? If not you can read about it here. We discussed the love that God calls us to. The love that isn’t based on conditions or what’s in it for us. The love that is willing to sacrifice for the family member, friend, or spouse. Well there is one very important aspect that I left out of the equation. True love corrects.

It Was You, It is You, It Will Always Be You

by Travis B.

You have delivered us countless times. Some we have forgotten. Some we just see as the order of the day, and somewhere in there we forget it was you, your love your mercy . We miss that this is a benefit of our relationship with you. It is your holly standard that stem the tides of death, despair, hopelessness and confusion. It is you who orchestrated and led the jail brake out of sins grip through your Son Jesus. It was you who fed us when we could not do for ourselves, it was you who brought in peace when chaos was all around, it was you who brought in comfort when there were no words to speak. Lord it was you, it was you, all the time Lord it is you. Continue reading

The Cost of the Cowardly

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:8

My goodness, the scripture above is  a sobering revelation from heaven’s throne room. This verse really convicted me when it comes to dealing with fear and rejecting passivity. When I first read Revelation 21:8 it caused me to think, “Lord I understand the condemnation of the murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, liars etc., but why the cowardly?”. I assumed the cowardly were those who are weak or disadvantaged and associated them with people that should be protected and even cared for. Then the Lord highlighted the very next word in the verse, “unbelieving”. This coward-est is found when a person who claims they are a child of God but will not step out on faith under any circumstances. The person who walks through life like this allows his or her flesh to rule them, in return they cannot bear Godly fruit.

I hope and pray that everyone had a blessed an fruitful Resurrection Sunday. Even during this challenging times we as believers should take the time to celebrate the most glorious time in human history, the literal resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. Without the resurrection of Jesus there would be no hope. Jesus is living proof that death is defeated!

Love Loading (Part 1)

by Marcus M

Going into the new year one of my desires was for the Lord to help me increase in love. However in order to do that, He would really have to show me what love truly is. What do we honestly think of when someone mentions the ‘L’ word? Depending on who you ask there can be sooo many different interpretations of what this word means. For some it’s an intense emotion for someone or something, for others it’s words of encouragement or your actions. Personally I lean towards the latter. But at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what I think it matters what God says. In order to grow in love we must submit to what the bible says pure love is. Before we get into what love is according to God and His Word, let’s look at what love is not according to the same standard.

You Can Be Cool and Still Have CHRIST.

by Dominic G.

Do you think you can be cool and still have Christ?  The answer is yes!  Jesus Christ loves us and wants to have a relationship with us regardless of how cool we think we are.  Some think that if they display their love for Christ that they won’t be considered cool.  As Christians, we are in this world but not of this world. With that said, we should not worry about what the world thinks of us or how we would be classified by worldly standards.  By following Christ, cool will be redefined according to his will. Below are a few examples on how to walk in confidence with Christ.

The Fight for Your Mind

by Marcus M.

What if I told you that you were going to get into one of the biggest fights of your life? Who or what would your opponent be? How would you imagine him, her, or it? Now what if I told you that one of your toughest opponents wasn’t even external to yourself however it was your former self, how you used to think, your old desires, your worldly wants. Our old mindset as believers in Jesus can present the most challenges in our walk with Christ. Our Father in heaven actually cares about the way we think, and what we choose to allow our minds to dwell on. It isn’t okay to fantasize about things that we know are not pleasing to God. It’s Chisel Season in 2019

by Marcus M.

The beginning of the year marks a season of change for many people. Promises are made New Year’s resolutions are created and goals are set. We as Christians are continuously going through seasons of change no matter what time of year it is, because we have God’s Spirit living within. Yes, The Holy Spirit is our comforter and our guide but He was also sent to convict the world of sin righteousness and judgement, and this includes the life of the believer.

Great Riches, Such a Tragedy

Hello everyone below is a guest post from my family and brother in Christ Travis Brown who wanted to share his heart.

Great Riches, Such a Tragedy

Being offered everything anyone could ever hope for and then some. I do a lot in God’s name, I say a lot about God, but I ask myself when will I fully surrender to God?

Eternity calls, what is it that is holding me?
What possession, that thing that hold such great value, is hindering me, blocking my joy, my peace, my full on relationship with God?

Giving God all of our trust and truly stepping out in faith is by no means an easy thing, but doing that is the only thing that pleases Him. I just wanted to give us all a charge for the New Year and admonish all believers in 2019. Trust God and step out in faith this year. Do the things that He has instructed us to do while we have the time to get them done. God wants to teach us to number our days so that we use our time wisely and intentionally. Jesus is going to manifest His power through the children of God in an awesome way. And only those who truly believe and have faith will be apart of it. If the Lord has told you to feed the needy on a regular basis do it, if He has told you to heal the sick step out in faith, if he told you to intercede in prayer for family and friends do so. This is not the time to be spiritually lazy. Let us go and serve the Lord. I love you all.
