Wave the White Flag (Surrender)

So we’re more than halfway through the first month of the year and many of us are diligently going after our goals and resolutions. I love the motivation that comes at the beginning of the year, the commitments, and the promises that we make to ourselves filled with well intentions. For the last few weeks I was thinking of achievements that I could pursue for the new year, things I wanted to finally learn, certificates I wanted to earn. I laid out my self improvement mission for 2022. Then it came to me, “What if you just surrendered?”
This question had me pondering all day, what would it look like if I just surrendered to every prompting of the Holy Spirit, I mean truly yielded to His conviction.

I would like this year to be the year of surrender. The things that the Lord wants me to do I would like to get done, the things that He wants me to give up I must give up (tangible and intangible). This world is changing so much, the “new normal” is not normal. Full surrender is the only way that we as believers will be able to take part in what God wants to do in these last days. God wants to use us but we have to surrender to hear His voice. If we listen to the smaller things we will hear more from Him. It is my heart to even surrender this blog to Him. There are things that I haven’t written about and expressed on this platform that I have talked myself out of writing. Let’s give this year and beyond to the Lord. God bless.
